The Carriages Boutique Hotel And Vineyard
The Carriages is a charming family-owned boutique hotel located in central Pokolbin near to the main amenities, but tucked away in a quiet vineyard setting.
The accommodation comprises a country-style 8 room Guesthouse, each with ensuite, and a quaint Cottage with 2 ensuite bedrooms and large living room with kitchen, dining and open fireplace.
Entering the 36 acre estate you will drive slowly through the vineyard, not to disturb the kangaroos and wallabies, and arrive at the picturesque accommodation ready to unwind and commence your experience of country style luxury, perhaps with a swim or tennis, or simply relaxing on the sweeping verandah enjoying the tranquil setting and bird songs.
In the afternoon after exploring the sights of Pokolbin relax with cheese and wine, make new friends with your neighbours, and in the evening from May to September snuggle in front of the open fire (most rooms).
In the morning wake up to the birds singing and a breakfast hamper provided just outside your door.
Take the opportunity to leave the car behind and walk to nearby Cellar Doors, Restaurants, Cafes, weekend markets, and gin or whiskey tastings.

Wines
The Carriages produces a small volume of premium
quality
hand-picked wines, including Chardonnay and Shiraz grown on the estate, and occasional Provence-style Rosé. The wines are expertly crafted by one of the Hunter Valley’s best winemakers to produce award-winning vintages. The wines are available in-room, at the cellar door or ordered online.
